Artist's Shed
Welcome to The Cnoc Buì Artists' Shed — a vibrant, creative hub where artists, makers, and the local community come together to share, explore, and grow. Based at Cnoc Bui, we meet on the third Wednesday of each month for inspiring talks, workshops, exhibitions, and studio visits. It’s a space for conversation, collaboration, and connection through creativity and there's always a good cuppa.
The artist shed are artists members of Cnoc Buí who meet on the third Wednesday of the month.
The artists' shed has taken a break from the summer and our next meeting will be on Wednesday 16th September 2026 at 11am.

16 September 2026 – Welcome Back
Member-led practical session
A relaxed session to reconnect, share ideas and get creative together.
14 October 2026 – Expressive Mark Making
Facilitator: Mark Brady
Sketch-a-Day Challenge
An optional challenge to encourage regular drawing and creative experimentation where participating artists agree a sketch a day format for a month until the next meeting.
18 November 2026 – Encaustic Workshop
Facilitator: Natalie Dwyer
An introduction to encaustic techniques and processes, with an opportunity to experiment with this versatile medium.
16 December 2026 – End-of-Year Showcase & Social
Members bring and share a piece made during the year. An informal exhibition, opportunity for reflection, and festive gathering.
20 January 2027 – Sketchbook Session
Facilitator: Catherine Weld
A practical sketchbook session exploring ways to develop ideas, record observations and support creative practice.
17 February 2027 – Curating for Artists
An introduction to curating, including how exhibitions are developed and how artists can approach presenting their work.
