Open Call 2027

Cnoc Buí Community Arts Centre invites proposals for exhibitions for our 2027 Programme. Submissions are welcome from artists at all stages of their careers, working in any medium — including solo and group exhibitions.
 

This Open Call aims to provide opportunities for artists to engage new audiences with their work and to strengthen Cnoc Buí’s vibrant exhibitions programme.

 

About Cnoc Buí
 

Cnoc Buí is a volunteer-led community arts centre promoting the visual, performing, and dramatic arts locally, regionally, and nationally. Since opening in 2023, we have hosted numerous exhibitions and events featuring local, national, and international artists, alongside a wide range of community activities.

We foster creativity, community engagement, and cultural exchange, and we welcome proposals that respond to our coastal setting and inclusive community ethos..

We are now inviting artists and creatives to submit proposals for upcoming exhibitions and events at Cnoc Buí. We welcome submissions across all visual art disciplines and encourage projects that engage with our community and coastal setting.

Your Name – “2027 Exhibition/Event Proposal”
 

Your submission must include:
 

• An up-to-date CV (max 2 pages)

• An artist statement (max 250 words)

• A written proposal outlining your exhibition or programme of work (max 500 words)

• Up to 10 images of recent work with captions

• Links to your website and/or social media
  
   

Selection Process
 

• All submissions will be reviewed by a Selection Panel.

• Applicants will be notified of the outcome by early April 2026.

• Deadline: 12 noon, Tuesday, 17 February 2026.

• Late submissions will not be accepted.
  
   

Cnoc Buí Will Provide
 

• Publicity posters and social media promotion

• Inclusion in our website and mailing list announcements

• Invitation distribution to Cnoc Buí’s networks

• Installation assistance and advice on exhibition layout

• Invigilation for the exhibition duration (artists are also welcome to participate)

There is no exhibition fee, but a 20% commission applies on artwork sales.

If you wish to align your exhibition with a festival or partner event, please note this in your proposal.
